On Thursday 5/22, Flames announced that a new Board of Directors has taken over leadership responsibilities!

Travis Kissane joined the Board in the fall of 2024 in the role of Director of Softball, but now has been tasked with the role of President. He has been affiliated with the Flames organization as a coach for several years. Most recently as the head coach of the 13u team and as an assistant coach for the 18u Frymire softball team. He brings a great deal of leadership qualities from his professional life and is looking forward to the challenge of leading the Flames program for years to come. Already identifying areas for improvement, quality coaching and training prospects, and improving the overall structure of the program and the expectations from the families the Flames program serves. Kellen Keck steps into the role of Vice President. Having already taken over the website and social media accounts, Kellen brings a keen eye for detail, marketing prowess, and business experience from his professional life as well. He has coached everything from Little League to high-school level sports, and is the current head coach of our 10u baseball team. His goal is to attract and retain the "right" talent for Flames, both at the player level and the coaching level. He is already looking for ways to attract new sponsors and donors, as well as programs to drive facility and equipment improvements, and improve public perception through the website and social media accounts.

Scot Wheelock has also been on the board previously, holding the same role, as Director of Baseball. Scot brings a great deal of baseball knowledge, both from a game play perspective, and from a rules perspective. Scot continues to push the baseball program to new heights. Working with the baseball coaches to develop the younger levels properly, so when they get into the high-school level teams, they are prepared, both mentally and physically. With the ultimate goal of potentially playing at the next level. He has cultivated relationships with area collegiate programs, which gives our players the ability to shine in front of the right people. His knowledge and steady leadership style is a great asset to the organization.

Josh Pepper joins the board as the new Director of Finance. Handling the treasurer roles and working closely with the rest of the board to initiate contact and attract new donors and sponsors to the Flames program. Josh's attention to detail will help set Flames up for years to come as he drives new initiatives to ensure the program is well-funded and competitive for the future generations of Flames players/teams. He also comes with years of leadership experience in his professional life and plenty of experience on the softball side of the game, as he works closely with Travis, leading the Softball program.

Tina DeVries is no stranger to Flames or the Board. Having held the role of Director of Finance/Treasurer for the last several years while having had kids go all the way through the Flames program, and now playing at the next level, Tina understands what it takes to run a top-tier organization. Her insight into past operations, baseball/softball knowledge, and her understanding of the finance role will prove valuable to the rest of the board and to the organization as a whole. Her experience and consistent voice will help with the rest of the leadership transition in the year to come. Their collective goal is to continue to improve the Flames program and reputation, to attract new talent, both players and coaches, to drive the program in the right direction, for years to come. Maintaining and growing a system that players, coaches, and parents can be proud to affiliate with.
