Flames Welcomes Joe Michmerhuizen to the Board as Secretary

We’re excited to announce a new addition to the Flames leadership team! At our March board meeting, Joe Michmerhuizen was officially voted in as the new Secretary of the Flames Board.

Joe is no stranger to the Flames organization. Currently serving as the 18U Softball Head Coach, he has been a dedicated part of Flames for several years. Joe first joined as an assistant coach at the 15U level before stepping into a head coaching role—where he has built a strong, consistent program and returned the majority of his team year after year. His commitment to player development, team culture, and long-term growth has made a lasting impact across the organization.

Beyond the field, Joe brings valuable experience from both law enforcement and his work with Zeeland Public Schools. His leadership, organization, and real-world perspective will be tremendous assets as Flames continues to grow and evolve.

Joe is excited to step into this new role and contribute at the board level, helping guide the future of Flames for years to come.
